About Chesapeake Energy Arena
Major improvements are currently underway. The expansion and renovation project is being funded by a 15-month sales tax that was overwhelmingly approved by Oklahoma City voters. Designed to elevate the experience of our audiences, the final phase of improvements will be completed following the 2010-11 Thunder basketball season.
The project features exciting new amenities such as new terrace suites and lounges, bunker suites, loge boxes, renovated locker rooms, as well as plans for a new grand entrance, multistory atrium, new restaurants, clubs, concession areas, team offices and a family fun zone.
